SSPA Technology
The Network Administrator manages network and systems operations for the College of Social Science and Public Affairs.
Duties include monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, resolution, and maintenance of servers and workstations. Other duties include strategic planning, budgeting, and purchasing.
The SSPA Technology Team has been working to provide better and more efficient technology services to SSPA.

The Computer Labs Manager is responsible for two larger computer labs, which are open to all BSU students and funded by student fees. Duties include running the network and workstations, supervising seven lab assistants, scheduling and training faculty using the labs for classes, maintaining hardware and software efficacy, strategic planning and implementation, budgeting and purchasing, and remaining current with campus Assistive Technology Committee and OIT best practices.
This position also oversees department research labs and works with department staff in equipping and running these labs to meet the needs of graduate students.
Additionally this position participates in planning the SSPA Web presence including facilitation of the SSPA Web Committee and supervision of the Web Design Specialist. Duties include keeping abreast of W3C and University Best Practices, as well as current technology useful in implementing improvements in the SSPA Web. In the absence of the Network Administrator, this position provides some network support.
The Workstudy Desktop Support works under the direction of the Network Administrator helping to maintain network and systems operations for the College of Social Science and Public Affairs. Additional duties include equipment maintenance and repair, inventory tracking, and system troubleshooting.
The Web Coordinator is responsible for the development, update, and maintenance of SSPA's Administrative Web sites and will monitor Web sites and train Web editors of departments and affiliated units in the college.
