Scholarship Recipients
Information for Applying for the 2012-2013 Academic Year:
The deadline for applications for a Political Science Scholarship is Thursday, March 15th, 2012
To be considered for a Political Science Department scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year, you must complete and submit the application form along with a copy of your academic transcript to:

Application
The Political Science scholarships information and application is available. You may download a fill able adobe form or pick up a paper copy in our main office.
You may also wish to apply for general university-wide scholarships. Please visit the Financial Aid Scholarships homepage for more information and application materials.
To qualify for need based scholarships you MUST submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 15th, 2012.
Notification
The Financial Aid Services office plans to notify all scholarship recipients in late April. Your notification will most likely come via your student email account. Be sure to check it often!
Available Scholarships
Based on past years, the Political Science Department expects to have the following scholarships available for the 2012-2013 academic year.
The Hazing Awareness Scholarship:
Milk & Honey Publishing, CollegeGreekBooks.com and Big Walt Anderson are proud to announce up to
seven $700 cash awards for the fall 2011/spring 2012 school year. Click here for details.
The Frank Church Scholarship:
Awarded to a full fee-paying student in the Department of Political Science, with a demonstrated record of community service and the potential for leadership in the public sector. To be considered, applicants must complete the section on this application for this scholarship.
The Dr. John Keiser Public Affairs Scholarship:
Awarded to a full time student who is a political science major who has a minimum 3.00 grade-point-average, has demonstrated involvement in community service and/or public affairs, and will be a sophomore, junior, or senior year.
The Dr. Willard Overgaard Scholarship:
Awarded to a full fee-paying student who is a member of the Xi Chi Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.
The Avery Peterson Scholarship:
Awarded to a full fee-paying student with an International Relations emphasis in Political Science and an interest in the Foreign Service.
The Dr. Stephanie Witt Political Science Scholarship:
Awarded to a full fee-paying Political Science major, who has a minimum 3.00 grade-point-average.
General Political Science Scholarships:
Awarded to full fee-paying students who are Political Science majors.
