NETWORK UPDATES

I want to thank everyone for their help and cooperation through the changes being made to our server’s Novell location. It may seem a real hassle to many of you, but it is going to streamline our network service and make administration easier for all network technicians. The following diagram should help understand where we are moving:

Summer projects include continuation of the upgrade of Microsoft Office on faculty computers, setup of the digital equipment and new computers in the Communication Lab in CM114, fine-tuning the SSPALAB and possibly upgrading SPSS to version 8.0, Y2K issues resolved on embedded systems within the Dean’s office (copier, fax, etc), day-to-day administration and problems solving, and handling any emergencies that may occur.
