Bachelor of General Studies Program

Program Admission

Applicants for the Bachelor of General Studies program are considered for admission based on the standards for transfer or returning students, as appropriate.

To be considered, applicants must have a minimum of 60 credits earned at or transferable to Boise State. All transfer credit accepted toward a Bachelor of General Studies must have a grade of “C-” or better.  Applicants for the BGS degree must be accepted at Boise State as Degree Seeking students.

 

Applicants must have at least five years of life experience other than that of being a full-time students since high school. Examples include experience as a full-time paid employee or volunteer, family care provider or other non-academic life experience.

An applicant must also include a professional written statement explaining how he or she meets the life experience requirement.
