Advising

Advising is key to student success. There are different types of advising, and students will interact with a variety of advisors as they move through their degree program. Initially, Communication Freshman and Sophomores access academic advising through the SSPA Student Success Program. Communication Juniors, Seniors, and transfer students work with the Department Advisor for assistance with scheduling classes, and with their assigned faculty advisor for assistance in other areas. Graduate students initially meet with the Graduate Coordinator, and then work with their thesis advisor.
