The family justice center model (FJC) has been touted as showing great promise to promote enhanced domestic violence victims’ services and offender accountability.
This presentation discusses a multi-method process and outcome evaluation of the Nampa Family Justice Center, one of 80 FJC’s in operation across the country, which provides for the co-location of victims’ services and offender accountability through collaborative, problem-solving partnerships.

The Department of Criminal Justice is pleased to present The Supreme Court of the State of Idaho on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Boise State University’s Special Events Center. This educational event is free and open to the public. The Bench from the Supreme Court of the State of Idaho will be hearing three cases of oral arguments on Tuesday, February 14.
Session One: 9:15-10:30 am — O’Shea v. High Mark Development
Session Two: 10:40-11:55 am — Hestead v. CNA Surety
Session Three: 1:40-2:55 pm — McCormick International v. Shore and Bear River Equipment
These sessions provide a rare glimpse at oral arguments presented to the Supreme Court.

Execution of Paul Rhoads Roundtable Discussion
A Roundtable Discussion will be held on November 14th on issues surrounding the death penalty, and in particular, the death penalty case of Paul Rhoades, who is scheduled to be executed in Idaho on November 17th.
The event, sponsored by the Department of Criminal Justice, the Department of Biological Sciences, and Alpha Phi Sigma, the Criminal Justice Honor Society, is open to the public.

Brown Bag Series: Association Between Criminal Behavior & Number of Sex Partners
Tony Walsh, Department of Criminal Justice, will discuss a gene-based evolutionary explanation for the association between criminal behavior and the number of sex partners.
