BIOGRAPHY

John was trained at University of California at Santa Barbara and Arizona State University. John has conducted field research in Siberia since 1992, mainly on the topics of indigenous land tenure and economy. He has on-going research on food-sharing networks and demographics in Siberia. In addition, he is investigating the conical hide-covered lodge and its ecological, social, and symbolic roles among indigenous peoples in Canada and Siberia.
