Annual Giving to the College of Social Science and Public Affairs
Giving to SSPA every year makes a difference every day.
From the beginning lectures each fall until graduation each spring, your gifts to the College's Annual Fund are hard at work, meeting the ever-changing opportunities and challenges of a metropolitan research university of distinction.
Every year alumni and friends declare their dedication to SSPA's mission by making unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund. Collectively, this generosity creates an immediate and personal impact, enriching the lives of every student and faculty member, every day, across the College.
Your continued support of the Annual Fund is key to our success. As the Annual Fund is used to support scholarships, faculty development, and a vibrant campus experience, your participation is needed this year. With your gift, you can nurture the educational aspirations of scholars who are changing the world for the better.
For more information about the Annual Fund, contact the Deans Office at (208) 426-3776 or email at sspadean@boisestate.edu.
Because of your support, the College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs is able to:
Attract some of the best students, regardless of their financial situations.
The Annual Fund allows the dean's office and departments to support general scholarships so that highly qualified students are admitted regardless of financial circumstances, thereby ensuring a diverse student body. The Single Parent Scholarship Fund and the First-Generation College Scholarship Fund are but two of many examples of ways to help students attend Boise State University.
Build increased capacity for ongoing research activity.
Annual Fund gifts are used to provide research assistance, travel support, and upgraded technologies for laboratories and classrooms. The Undergraduate Research Initiative originated in the College, enjoying broad support across the College as a university-wide activity.
Advance academic programs.
The Annual Fund supports the development and implementation of innovative programs such as
Idaho Issues Online and the Undergraduate Research Initiative and Fettuccine Forum.
The Forensic Team, the 2005 National Champions, can continue their winning ways with your support.
