Research Grant and Fellowship Program
Deadlines vary for each fellowship. Consult the JFK Research Grant
and Fellowship Program for details
The JFK Foundation supports living, travel, and related expenses for a variety of
research purposes. Emphasis areas may change from year to year.
- Marjorie Kovler Fellowship$2,500 for foreign intelligence and the presidency, or a related topic.
- Abba Schwartz Fellowship
$3,100 for immigration, naturalization, or refugee policy research.

Theodore
C. Sorensen Fellowship $3,600 for domestic policy, political journalism, polling, or press relations.
- Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.
Fellowship $5,000 for Latin American or Western Hemisphere history or policy studies during the
Kennedy or Roosevelt presidencies. Deadline August 15th.
- Kennedy Research Grants $500-1,500 on any topic during the Kennedy period.
- Hemingway Research Grants.
$200-1,000 for the Hemingway Collection.
- Archival Internships Paid internships are available in archival, manuscript, audiovisual, or public history.

SUMMARY: The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, a private non-profit educational
organization, administers and funds programs on behalf of the Kennedy Library and Museum,
a presidential library of the National Archives and Records Administration. Only one grant
or fellowship application per person can be submitted in a given year. Each application
will be evaluated for support in all appropriate areas.
Those received after a deadline will be considered in the next cycle.
