  • Using Archival Materials from the former Soviet Union
  • Ten short-term fellowships are available
  • Documents primarily in Russian (KGB archives in Moscow and Tallinn on war crimes trials; 50,000 pages of Extraordinary State Commission to Investigate Nazi Crimes in Soviet Territory, and other documents)
  • Documents primarily in German (600,000 pages of German occupation documents from Russian archives)
  • Documents primarily in Rumanian (195,000 pages of documents from Moldova and elsewhere)
  • $4,000 stipend for 4-6 week for housing and per diem plus $1,000 travel
  • Ph.D. or equivalent required or professional standing
