Student Travel Awards
The Dean’s Office is making
available, on a first-come, first-served basis, 10 travel stipends (5 awards
will be available each semester) in the amount of $200. The purpose of these
funds is to support student travel to professional academic conferences.
Criteria
- The stipends are available to
any undergraduate or graduate student majoring in any SSPA Department or
affiliated academic unit.
- Applications must include the information
requested below and must be accompanied by a letter of support from a
full-time member of the faculty.
- Students must participate at
the conference by making a presentation (delivering a paper, poster
presentation, etc.). The student’s name must appear in the official
program.
- All travel requests must be
processed by the student’s home Department and the Dean’s Office.
- Departments are encouraged to
provide matching funds to support research and/or travel to academic
conferences.
