Student Travel Awards

 

The Dean’s Office is making available, on a first-come, first-served basis, 10 travel stipends (5 awards will be available each semester) in the amount of $200. The purpose of these funds is to support student travel to professional academic conferences.

 

Criteria

 

  1. The stipends are available to any undergraduate or graduate student majoring in any SSPA Department or affiliated academic unit.
  2. Applications must include the information requested below and must be accompanied by a letter of support from a full-time member of the faculty.
  3. Students must participate at the conference by making a presentation (delivering a paper, poster presentation, etc.). The student’s name must appear in the official program.
  4. All travel requests must be processed by the student’s home Department and the Dean’s Office.
  5. Departments are encouraged to provide matching funds to support research and/or travel to academic conferences.
